- What do you do for work?
- i'm on the spartan race/tough mudder/deka production crew. (i'm not rich, but i am having a hell of a good time.)
- Military Service?
- nope- too many authority issues
- What do you do in your free time?
- indoor rock climbing/bouldering (still a novice after several years- just like when i played tennis in high school); rollerblading (started doing that with heather maddox in high school. did it with paige glidden in college. have been doing it for the last 10+ years. somehow, still a novice at that, too.); road trips with side quests to see national (or state) parks, cool murals, the world's biggest whatevers, and other unusual stuff; sending postcards from those road trips to friends, relations, and the random chick who gave me a band aid at a climbing gym i went to once in the middle of indiana. (she wrote me a thank you note once and told me my card made her day.); hiking; stand up paddleboarding; obstacle course racing (if this list were actually in order, that should probably be higher up); geocaching; taking pictures of all the things; avoiding public speaking; correcting poorly transcribed dictation on my phone; often misusing semicolons
- Favorite vacation spot?
- since this comes up a couple of times, let me use this space to tell you about my most frequently visited ones: st john (usvi), arizona, maine, florida (those two are because my parents live at opposite ends of the east coast), spots along route 66, and i appreciate kc a heck of a lot more as a tourist than i did when i lived here.
- Children/pets (names & ages)?
- still feel way too young and selfish to have kids. i've got three cats, though- setzer, jagger, and lita. (for the record, let me point out that you aren't a crazy cat lady" until you have at least four.)
- Grandchildren (names & ages)?
- uhm...again, still not feeling old enough (or responsible enough to have kids. DEFINITELY neither old nor responsible enough for another generation beyond that.
- What's still on your Bucket List?
- ~ see the northern lights
~ do the "bermuda triple challenge" race (minus the swimming part, since i don't really "swim" as much as i "try not to drown")
~ finish driving route 66 in my miata, zamboni (i need to catch a section i missed in amarillo, do the santa fe-albuquerque loop, and drive everything west of flagstaff)
~ advance to having the artistic skills of a ten year old (pretty sure i'm at 9 right now)
~ finally start writing my future best-selling memoir (after i do some more interesting things, of course)
